The Scottsboro Rotary Club was established in 1958. We celebrated 60 years of service in Scottsboro and Jackson County in 2018 and continue to expand membership.
In 2024 our meeting location has moved to the Scottsboro Public Library. The meeting begins at noon where members and guests choose from the buffet. The program begins at 12:30 with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and introduction of the speaker or program.
We sponsor the Scottsboro High School Interact Club, the Northeast Alabama Community College Rotaract Club, and foster and support the IMPACT Learning Center - 21st Century Council.
We have given over 15,000 books to Scottsboro Elementary students with our annual Drop Everything And Read (DEAR Day) program. We also provide Scottsboro Rotary Scholarships to the Scottsboro High School annually. We are especially interested in promoting Dolly Partain's Imagination Library. Call the IMPACT Learning Center to learn more how your child can receive up to 60 free books - sent to your home!
